Job summary
The Commercial Director will be responsible for the delivery of a wide range of commercial services and play a pivotal role in leading the financial, legal and procurement elements of the New Hospital Programme, including business case production, land acquisition, contractor appointments, programme financial management, demand and capacity modelling and contract management.
It is an exciting time to join the Trust as it's a once in a lifetime opportunity to be involved in a New Hospital Programme.The postholder will be involved in the build of a brand new Frimley Park Hospital, which will be state of the art in terms of its design and how patients are treated or receive care for future generations to come. Digital innovation will be a key component in terms of design and care delivery.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will contribute to the realization of a state-of-the-art healthcare facility that meets the needs of the community and adheres to budgetary and regulatory requirements.
The Commercial Director will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing the New Hospital Programme Commercial Strategy and developing the associated policies and procedures.
They will lead, develop and coach a commercial team.

- Proven experience in commercial leadership roles within the construction, healthcare, or related industries.
- Delivery of complex commercial strategy and transactions in the public sector.
- Significant experience in programme management and structuring the delivery of complex work, incorporating multiple inputs and stakeholders, management of fluctuating workload and associated resource management.
- Senior level technical knowledge and experience of advising on complex transactions and commercial options.
