Job summary
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and committed nurse to join the corporate Patient Safety Team .
You will join a hardworking team that pride themselves on their drive to always improve the safety culture in the organisation , and want to provide resolution to families that have experienced untoward incidents in the Trust.
We investigate safety incidents in the organisation, liaise with families, collate themes from incident reports and work with multidisciplinary teams across the organisation to understand their safety concerns . There will be a requirement to deliver training in the role.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be expected to be able to thoroughly review patient care, produce a chronology of the care and critically comment on the care given.
You will be required to present care concerns at meetings and be able to produce comprehensive reports following panel reviews of care. Organisational skills and meeting deadlines is key.
Excellent communication skills are vital to enable the team to address concerns at all levels and often distressed families. These will also be important in the delivering of training across the Trust.

Desirable
- Teaching qualification (e.g., Cert Ed)
- Risk Management experience/qualification
- At or working towards degree level, in relevant studies

- Ability to motivate staff in their professional development
- Ability to identify and address poor practice
- Able to make logical operational decisions based on the current situation
- Experience of practice development
