Job summary
An opportunity has arisen at the Parapet Breast Unit in Windsor, which is operated by Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, for a Receptionist to include some administrative duties in support of the Breast Screening Service.
The Parapet Breast Unit is located at the King Edward VII Hospital site in Windsor and offers Breast Screening and Breast symptomatic services to the local population.
The successful applicant will be a methodical worker with a keen eye for detail and good communication skills, who enjoys working as part of a supportive team. Proven administrative skills and previous experience of dealing with the public in a caring environment would be an advantage.
Main duties of the job
- To reception the screening clinic, checking clients' details and booking them in.
- Making appointments by letter or by telephone.
- Communicate with other health care workers eg. Doctors, Radiographers and
others daily.
- Accurately record patient information on NBSS.
- To ensure that reports are sent to GP's within an agreed timescale.
- Provide a caring service to the patients at all times by being friendly and approachable.
- Receive and deal with telephone enquiries and liaise with any other staff/departments as required.
- Ensure patient confidentiality is observed and maintained in respect of all patient information.
- Carry out duties at other sites within the Trust as required on an occasional basis.
- Carry out any other duties relevant to the post as requested by the Programme Manager of Breast Screening.

Job Summary:
- The post holder will be part of the breast screening administration team and duties will include reception of clinics, making appointments and liaising closely on a day-to-day basis with other staff in the department, patients, and members of the public. There will be a range of administrative duties required and the post holder will be required to maintain the high quality of service offered by The Parapet.
