This post is based at Frimley Park Hospital.
Our pharmacy technicians are crucial in ensuring we supply a safe, efficient and patient centred service to our customers.
The successful applicant will work on a rotational basis between Homecare services and the Dispensary pharmacy (on a 50%/50% basis working mornings in the homecare department and afternoons in the dispensary).
Main duties of the job
To contribute to the provision of a high-quality dispensing service according to departmental procedure.
To ensure competencies are kept up to date in all areas of dispensary and homecare.
To work with the Homecare Manager in maintaining a high standard in the Pharmacy Homecare Medicines Services for Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust developing specialist knowledge in the homecare field.

Job responsibilities
To contribute to the provision of a high-quality dispensing service.
Take personal responsibility for the accurate and timely input of information onto the pharmacy computer system (EPIC) to ensure the maintenance of a reliable database and accurate stock control.
To assist with the routine verification of stock levels to ensure accuracy and reliability of database information for dispensary and homecare data.
To act as or work towards Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician.
To work with a range of multidisciplinary healthcare teams in specialist areas such as cystic fibrosis, immunology, cancer, rheumatology and multiple sclerosis to help implement new Homecare services and provide pharmacy support.
Troubleshoot ad-hoc queries under the supervision of the Homecare Manager and assist in managing complaints and incidents received by patients and the clinical team.
To work closely with the homecare companies to ensure all homecare invoices and any discrepancies relating to these are dealt with in a timely manner.
