Job summary

Due to internal promotions we have band 6 vacancies in our team with the exciting opportunity to gain experience working on the acute stroke unit, acute general wards including ICU and with the Stroke Early Supported Discharge team.

Main duties of the job

You will need to have completed your dysphagia competencies and be able to demonstrate that you have been working independently with a dysphagia caseload including acute stroke for a minimum of 9 months. You will need to have completed your NQP framework and be able to evidence you are managing patients with more complex dysphagia / communication impairment with minimal support. You will have ideally undertaken your placement educator training and therefore be in a position to take students on clinical placement.
