Job summary
Reporting directly to the Marketing & Communications Manager of Frimley Health Charity, the Marketing & Communications Officer will work on internal and external communications for the charity and provide support to the Marketing & Communications Manager on all communication matters.
The role includes building and maintaining relationships with a broad range of external & internal stakeholders such as media, Governors, supporters, community groups, patient groups, patients and Trust members.
The primary place of work will be Frimley Park Hospital but there is an expectation that the post holder will work at other locations as required.
Main duties of the job
To work on internal and external communications functions of the charity across all sites with a view to enhancing the charity's reputation and engagement with internal and external audiences.
To play a key role in implementing the digital communications strategy to maximise the charity's on-line presence and to ensure the structure, design and content of the website supports the charity's marketing, communications and fundraising strategies.
Working with the Marketing & Communications Manager and others to transform the awareness of the charity both internally and externally.
To be a key person in the charity responsible for literature, the charity website and social media communications.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build a high-performing communications function able to help the charity fulfil its ambitions
- Produce communications content for a range of audiences, including media releases, pictures and videos and project manage the design and production of promotional materials
- Responsible for implementing a cross-site strategy for developing and delivering communication and engagement strategies which support the charitys overall strategic direction.
- Responsible for coordinating, writing and editing supporter publicity and marketing materials
- Responsible for researching, writing, commissioning and editing content, and supporting the production process from concept to distribution.
- Responsible for sourcing relevant material for and liaising with an external agency on the production of a supporter and corporate newsletter and e-newsletters
- Design and develop creative content, including case studies, which is impactful and can be used across different comms channels.
- Liaise with the website provider and keep abreast of new developments
- Work with the Marketing and Communications Manager to update the website with content, then liaise with 3rd party suppliers.
- Act as digital media liaison, responsible for the development, coordination, and updating of various online and social networking sites.
- Provide a high-quality communications service to the charity and its stakeholders.
