An opportunity has arisen for a Bank Nursery Assistant.
First Steps Day Nursery is located on site , for staff use, at Wexham Park Hospital and provides high quality care and education for children aged between 3 months and 5 years.
Our children and their families are supported by a team of experienced Early Years Practitioners who aim to deliver a level of excellence in practice within the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
We are open Monday to Friday between 06:45am and 5.30 pm for 51 weeks of the year and you would work an 8 hour shift each day starting at various times through the week between 6.30am and 5.30 pm.

Your day will involve teaching, caring for the children, playing and having fun while keeping them safe.
Main duties of the job
Over 18 months you will be provided with a mentor who will support you in gaining your level 3 Early years educator. This will include setting you tasks to complete, visits and assessments and you will be given time out to complete your off the job learning.

Participate in supporting childrens learning and development experiences under the direction and supervision of Room Lead/Educational Development Lead.
- Use knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, child development stages and learning theories to support observation, planning and assessment that consider children's individual needs.
- Assist key practitioners in delivering learning and development experiences based on children's individual needs and good practice models.
- Communicate effectively and appropriately with children, parents/carers, colleagues and others.
