Job summary

Main duties of the job

As a key member of the Procurement team, you'll relish the opportunity to provide advice on procurement and supplies matters relating to the procurement of capital within the medical/surgical field to clinicians, managers and staff

You will be responsible for purchase orders are dispatched in a timely manner to support our clinical services.

  • In possession of CIPS Diploma (or equivalent) or keen to embark on training leading to a professional purchasing/supply qualification

Desirable

  • CIPS Advanced Diploma

Experience

Essential

  • Proven track record of buying a varied range of clinical and non clinical goods and services
  • Experience of working in a similar environment, delivering procurement solutions to time critical £5million+ capital projects

Desirable

  • Experience of buying through NHS Supply Chain Experience of obtaining quotes
  • Experience of supporting/ leading mini competitions

Skills

Essential

  • Familiar with MS Office products
  • Computer literate - i.e able to use an electronic system procurement system within the required parameters
  • Knowledge of furnishing rules and regulations i.e. - fabric fire retardant requirements
