Job summary

The Trust was formed by the acquisition of Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust by Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Frimley Park was the first Trust in the country to be rated as 'Outstanding' overall by England's Chief Inspector of Hospitals in September 2014.

Main duties of the job

As a key member of the Procurement team, you'll relish the opportunity to provide advice on procurement and supplies matters relating to the procurement of capital within the medical/surgical field to clinicians, managers and staff

You will be responsible for purchase orders are dispatched in a timely manner to support our clinical services.

In possession of CIPS Diploma (or equivalent) or keen to embark on training leading to a professional purchasing/supply qualification

Desirable

CIPS Advanced Diploma

Experience

Essential

Proven track record of buying a varied range of clinical and non clinical goods and services
Experience of working in a similar environment, delivering procurement solutions to time critical £5million+ capital projects

Desirable

Experience of buying through NHS Supply Chain Experience of obtaining quotes
Experience of supporting/ leading mini competitions

Skills

Essential

Familiar with MS Office products
Computer literate - i.e able to use an electronic system procurement system within the required parameters
Knowledge of furnishing rules and regulations i.e. - fabric fire retardant requirements
