Our Communications and Engagement Team has a fantastic opportunity for a talented and experienced communications professional with a particular flair for communicating research activity.
As the Senior Research Communications and Engagement Officer you will be responsible for communicating to patients, public and staff our research activity.
Using your knowledge of the digital landscape and your strong storytelling skills you will create innovative content that inspires.
You will work closely with key stakeholders across the Trust to develop a cohesive approach to communication ensuring a consistent, integrated and collaborative approach.
And because you arecommitted to excellence, you will monitor and report on our research engagement performance and contribute to the planning of key organisational campaigns.

Main duties of the job
The Senior Research Communications and Engagement Officer will support the effective delivery of a communications and engagement function for research and innovation at the Trust. The post holder will work as part of the Trust's Communications and Engagement Team, with close ties to the Research and Innovation Team. They will have the autonomy to shape communications and engagement for research and innovation, in line with the Trust's strategic ambitions.
They will generate excitement and increase awareness of research and innovation in the NHS, developing and maintaining an excellent communications infrastructure. This infrastructure includes clinical research support staff and sessional support for clinical investigators of all professions, funding for other NHS support costs such as additional clinical services and diagnostic tests, and research management systems and staff.
