Job summary
- To act as a skilled practitioner and senior nurse within the Emergency Department to ensure that the highest quality of care is given to patients. Ensuring that all clinical practice is evidence based, in accordance with local and national standards for good practice.
- To assist in the clinical management of the Emergency Department by ensuring the efficient and effective use of resources, and providing clinical leadership, supervision and support to the team.
- In conjunction with the Clinical Matrons / Team Leaders and other Sisters / Charge Nurses facilitate the development of the service and personal development of all nursing staff within the clinical area of responsibility.
- To take the lead on projects as appropriate.
