This is an exciting opportunity for midwives to join our MAMAS line.
This role involves working for Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust's maternity telephone triage service, located within the South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) in Northern House, Bicester.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for motivated and experienced midwives to join our team in running our new, innovative pregnancy advice line for women booked at Frimley Park and Wexham Park hospitals. The post requires autonomous practitioners who are confident in their ability to communicate and advise women effectively on the telephone line.
This is a unique opportunity to develop your skills and decision making ability. The successful candidate will be part of a wider multi-disciplinary team, working alongside paramedics, air ambulance teams, and members of the clinical specialist team which are pivotal to the co-ordination of access to maternity care.

The line is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and can offer advice and support for any pregnancy related concerns from 16 weeks of pregnancy and into the postnatal period. The advice line is based in a bespoke hub at South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) Emergency Operations Centre in Bicester, and may include a combination of telephone and video conferencing.
The advice line is the epitome of multi-professional working and you will be a key player in ensuring women are cared for in the right place, at the right time, every single time. Extensive cross-organisation training will be given for this role.
