Job summary
This role is for a Specialist Doctor in Community Medicine.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the medical care of 20 patients receiving rehabilitation at Heathlands intermediate care unit, working alongside a junior doctor, advanced nurse practitioners and therapists.
With the NHS Long term plan, Ageing Well agenda and current transformation of community services, it is an exciting time to be working in frailty services and older people's medicine.
At Frimley Health we are an integrated acute and community services provider and with Ageing Well funding, will see expansion of our community services and older people's medicine directorate over the coming years. This new post has arisen due to the need for clinical input into a new intermediate care facility in Bracknell, called Heathlands, which is due to open in February 2022.
Main duties of the job
- Work across our community services based at Farnham hospital and there is also the opportunity to undertake a clinic and work with our newly established hospital at home service.
- Commit to appraisal, revalidation and personal development in line with statutory and Trust guidelines.
- Assist in developing the service and participate in departmental audit and quality improvement projects.
About us
The successful candidate will be joining a team of eight geriatricians and cross cover will be provided for annual leave. There is flexibility in the job plan to work around the successful candidate's subspecialty interests
