Main duties of the job

The Apprentice Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) will work towards becoming a Registered Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) by gaining a BSc (Hons) in Operating Department Practice.

The Apprentice ODP will undertake an apprenticeship programme incorporating the Integrated Degree Apprenticeship Standards for Operating Department Practice. The apprenticeship programme combinesacademic and work-based learning; the Apprentice ODP will be fully supported to develop the skills required over the duration of the apprenticeship.

To demonstrate our commitment to you, we have created a unique Clinical Education (CE) & Practice Development (PD) who are dedicated to making your time here beneficial and believe that with their input and your determination you will grow into outstanding professionals. If you need support or advice, they are available to help you at every stage throughout your programme.
