Job summary
Our Temporary Staffing team makes a vital contribution to all our services by working closely with our clinical staff and managers to ensure that staff gaps are covered and, as such, this is a busy and vibrant team. The Temporary Staffing Manager is a key role within the HR management team and across the Trust as a whole, as well as working with external partners. This is a great opportunity for someone with the right skills and experience to make a real difference.
To be successful you will need to be able to demonstrate that you have temporary staffing knowledge and the skills to lead and motivate a busy team, as well as a good knowledge of general HR, compliance and a CIPD qualification.
Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for the provision of an effective Temporary Staffing service, that meets the requirements of the Trust.
- To be responsible for ensuring governance and quality standards are met in relation to the use of temporary staff across the Trust.
- To work closely with clinical staff and managers to ensure that effective systems and processes for the use and booking of temporary staff are embedded into practice throughout the Trust.
- To minimise the use of agency staff by replacing them with Bank staff.
- To work closely with the Head of Employee Services to develop and expand the internal Staff Bank and reduce spend on premium staffing (agency).
- To work closely across the Integrated Care System (ICS) and with other external partners.
- To ensure that the Bank Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.
