An exciting opportunity has arisen to undertake the role as a Head of Nursing Community and Older People's Medicine. This post will be integral in paving the way and shaping the future direction of our vertically integrated community services and acute Older Person's Medical wards.
We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual who is able to provide clear, compassionate and inspirational leadership across professional boundaries. The post holder will need to be able to influence and engage with multiple stakeholder partners across the system and internally and possess a clear voice and vision for both patients and staff.
You will be responsible for the strategic direction, overall provision and management of the community and acute nursing teams as well as Allied Health Professionals that sit across the Directorate boundaries, ensuring that outstanding standards of patient care are delivered and supported through the clinical governance framework using QI methodology to enable strategic/directorate and national objectives to be achieved.
Main duties of the job
You will need to work collaboratively with colleagues within the acute setting, partners, primary care networks and across health and social care boundaries to build upon existing relationships and progress service delivery in order to provide seamless care provision and improve outcomes and patient experience.
Success in the role will require high levels of tenacity, resilience and self motivation, together with exceptional influencing and negotiation skills.

- Registered Nurse / Allied Health Professional who possesses current registration and revalidation with appropriate professional body (NMC / HPC)
- Masters Level Degree in an appropriate specialty or equivalent qualifications and experience, that is demonstratable.
