If so, we're looking for you to join our well-respected medicines management team to lead on Antimicrobial Stewardship across the Trust and be the Medicines Management lead for allocated areas of responsibility, delivering a specialist clinical pharmacy service to our Intermediate Care Units.
We use Electronic Prescribing & Medicines Administration (EPMA) within our Intermediate Care Units (training provided). You'll attend multidisciplinary meetings such as our Medicines Safety & Governance Group and work in close partnership with the Trust's Infection Prevention & Control team, representing the medicines management on other multidisciplinary groups.

Full time hours are 37.5 hours per week (general office hours) Flexible working arrangements may be discussed but will require you to work a minimum 22.5 hours per week over 3 days as well as hybrid working and/or split roles within the Trust.
The role involves a regular presence at both Crawley and Brighton General Hospital sites but we're flexible around base with various locations across Sussex including Worthing, Horsham and Lewes.
Main duties of the job
You will work with other pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and assistants, as well as other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of a high quality and effective medicines management service to all our adult inpatient bedded units. You will be involved in the development of pharmacy staff and service to the bedded units.You will work in the pharmacy dispensary regularly to provide senior support.
You will take the lead role within the Medicines Management Team, across the whole of Trust, for the particular areas of Antimicrobial Stewardship, injectables, patient group directions, occupational health and wound-care in accordance with experience, previous knowledge and personal development plan. This may include developing policy and service developments.
You will require excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, together with good clinical skills and knowledge. The ability to travel within the Trust's foot-print is essential.
