Job summary
The Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service (CNRS) is looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 3 Rehabilitation Support Worker ( RSW ) to join our friendly, dedicated and dynamic team working in rehabilitation. We treat people in their own home who have had a stroke, ABI or TBI in the High Weald, Lewes and Havens (HWLH) area of East Sussex.
We are looking for candidates who like working with people and are reliable, flexible and adaptable in their work. Previous experience as a Therapy Technician, Assistant or similar is desirable. Our ideal candidates will enjoy problem solving, have excellent communication skills, and want to work in the community within a supportive multidisciplinary team, helping to implement timely and person-centred rehabilitation.
The posts can be full time or part time and the service currently covers 8-5, Mon - Friday.

Main duties of the job
Your main responsibilities will be to follow a therapy treatment plan, supporting patients with exercises programmes, functional mobility and functional tasks.
Your work will be directed and supervised by qualified Occupational Therapists,( O.T.'s) Physiotherapists ( Physios,) Speech and Language Therapists (SaLT) and you will also work alongside our Nursing colleagues and Therapy Practitioners.
You will take part mainly in one to one work with patients, but may also assist Therapists in working with patients that need extra support.
You will be expected to have some basic IT knowledge so that you can document in the electronic patient notes.
Relevant therapy and rehabilitation experience is preferred, although training will be given via completion of specific therapy competencies and further guidance as required.
