Job summary

The Children's Speech and Language Therapy team in Central have some exciting opportunities within our complex needs services. We are looking for therapists to join our teams to work in our brand new Child Development Centre in Crawley, our Special School in Crawley and our special school in Horsham.

Our complex needs service can support development of skills in AAC/Eating and Drinking and Interventions to support Neuro diverse children. We work within the balanced model to provide support at universal, targeted and specialist levels. In our special schools we work closely with the teaching staff to ensure a robust communicative environment for all children and in the Child Development Centre we work alongside our multi-disciplinary colleagues to support families.

The Central team consists of 45+ staff working in different clinical areas. The team are approachable and keen to support each other, B7 clinical leads provide supervision with additional support for staff from Band 7s Leads in SSCs, EYS, Deafness and our Neurodevelopmental Pathway for clinical advice and second opinions.

Main duties of the job

To provide:

  • Reports for ENCHA, Transition, Annual Review etc

  • Support to other SLT teams during school holiday periods
  • Up to date clinical competencies in line with HCPC requirements
