Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Highly Specialist Dietitian in Gastroenterology to join the Community Dietetic Service covering High Weald, Lewes & Havens.
The successful applicant will be an active member of the Community Dietetics Team withwell-developed team working, communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills.
Experience of gastroenterology, and delivering complex nutritional support, including enteral tube feeding is essential. The post holder will be the clinical lead in gastroenterology for the department.
You will need to be an active and integral member of the Dietetic Team, in addition to being a highly skilled autonomous practitioner working across sites, running out-patient clinics and patient home visits
Main duties of the job
To provide clinical leadership for Gastroenterology, ensuring effective governance for staffing work in the service.
To lead on ensuring staff are clinically competent, services are clinically effective and safe, and an excellent patient experience is delivered.
To embed the principles of interdisciplinary working and cross skilling for all staff, including implementing the Calderdale competency framework.
To provide specialist clinical assessment, intervention and clinical advice for highly complex patients.
To develop key partnerships, working to ensure effective whole system working, through effective communication and networking with other disciplines and by working across professional boundaries.
