Main duties of the job

The IV Service cares for patients in both clinic settings and their own homes throughout the West Sussex area.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality care within a community setting, working towards patient rehabilitation, self-management, and independence. This role involves managing the day-to-day clinical needs of an identified caseload, undertaking initial assessments, and ongoing management of IV therapy.

  • Evidence of a range of clinical competencies appropriate to the role

Desirable

  • ENB 998/Mentorship or equivalent or work towards

Experience

  • 1 year post registration experience
  • Clinical experience of IV therapy delivery and management of vascular access devices

Desirable

  • Experience in a community setting is desirable

Skills

Essential

  • Evidence of good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Demonstrates competency in a range of clinical skills including: IV administration, cannulation and venepuncture.
  • IT literate or willing to achieve competency

Desirable

  • Experience / Proficiency with cannulation or willingness to learn.
