Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the 5-19 Healthy Child Programme .

We are looking to recruit flexible, dynamic, and motivated individuals for an exciting opportunity as School Health Assistants (SHA) working term time only, to work in theHealthy Child Programme5-19(HCP) teams in West Sussex, offering support to children, young people and their families.

There are several posts available across West Sussex based in Crawley and Arundel .

Main duties of the job

The SHA roles promote the health of children by undertaking hearing and vision screening for pupils in Reception year, and National Child Measurement Programme(NCMP) measurements for pupils in both Reception and Year 6 classes.

You will need to have Math's and English GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.

Excellent IT skills are essential, and a working knowledge of Excel and outlook are vital for this role. In-house training will be provided on our electronic patient record system.

You will need to be a good communicator, well-organised, and able to travel between school and clinic locations across West Sussex.Previous experience working with children/young people is desirable, but not essential and full training will be provided.
