Job summary

Are you ready to be a part of a groundbreaking initiative? Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is embarking on an innovative journey to implement e-Rostering across our entire organisation, and we are looking for a dynamic e-Rostering Officer to join our team!

  • Supporting the Rollout: Lead the implementation of the e-Rostering system across all staff groups within the Trust. Your efforts will ensure a smooth and efficient transition for every department.
  • System Configuration: Build and configure the e-Rostering system to meet the unique needs of each department, tailoring it for optimal performance and usability.
  • Engagement and Promotion: Collaborate with department managers to engage their teams and highlight the numerous benefits of e-Rostering, fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency.
  • Training and Documentation: Provide comprehensive training to department managers and staff, creating clear and useful training materials to support the implementation process.
  • Progress Reporting: Keep track of implementation progress, report on specific projects, and escalate any issues to ensure swift resolutions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in stakeholder engagement activities, attend meetings with the system supplier, and document implementation details for accountability.
  • Implementation Team Collaboration: Work closely with the wider implementation team to facilitate and organize relevant meetings, ensuring cohesive and effective teamwork.

Main duties of the job

You will be supporting the implementation of a new e-Rostering solution to Sussex Community, delivering comprehensive training and configuration to ensure the system meets the needs of the services and complies with Trust requirements.

You will be actively involved in the systems development, implementation and facilitation for successful change and benefits realisation across the organisation.

You will work closely with services to undertake deep dives on their rostering practices and set ups, highlight areas of poor practices and making recommendations for best practice.

Feeding back ideas for development to be discussed with the e-Rostering provider. Supporting the implementation of any developed ideas within the Trust and pushing for higher user adoption and acceptance.

Deal with issues quickly as they arise, using creativity to find workarounds and solutions to problems. Provide first and second line support to system users regarding all aspects of the software, including user accounts, payroll queries, contractual changes and Rostering policy.

  • Provide data on an ad hoc basis as required by senior managers, clinicians , unit manager and their deputies including revising establishments and interpreting this into staffing demand.
