Care is provided in clinics across Brighton & Hove, Crowborough, Uckfield and Newhaven, in patients own homes and you will also rotate through the hospital based multi-disciplinary foot team. So you will get to see patients at all stages of their care to utilise your skills.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will become part of the community diabetes service covering the Brighton and Hove and High Weald, Havens and Lewes areas. This is a multidisciplinary Consultant led community based service consisting of Podiatrists, Nurses, Dieticians and Psychologists. The post holder will be responsible for assisting with the effective leadership and clinical quality of the Podiatry pathways within the team. They will also have a lead clinical role acting as a point of reference for more junior colleagues and other members of the multidisciplinary team. This role will involve extensive clinical commitment and the post holder will deal with thediagnosis and treatment of a range of diabetic foot problems often likely to be highly complex in nature. The post holder will have highly developed and specialist clinical skills.There is also an education provision element to this role and the post holder will be expected to carry out regular education sessions for other colleagues, local GP partners and patients of the community diabetes team. This role requires the post holder to see patients in a variety of community and acute settings including patients own homes.
