The following opportunities are available for Band 6 Occupational Therapy roles in the Horsham, Crawley or Haywards Heath area.

Our Occupational Therapists are integral members of our Community Therapy Team. You will work with people in their own homes who areexperiencing functional decline, maximising opportunities for independence in what matters to them; living full and active lives within their family circles, social networks, and the workplace.

Main duties of the job

Our teams work with patients with a variety of conditions within their homes. Our OTs provide clinical assessment and plan their treatment and intervention, identifying ongoing needs and appropriately referring to other services within the area.

You will be a valued and supported member of the team, contributing to team decisions, and will be supported with your development, including partaking in regular in-service training.

We will support you to make full use of your skills at whatever stage of your career to:

  • Provide specialist, holistic assessments, and reviews to improve or maintain quality of life.
  • Support individuals to take increased ownership and control over their health through rehabilitation interventions, personalised care planning and goal setting.
  • Provide an urgent response to minimise crisis situations and the need for emergency interventions or hospital admissions.
  • Improve access to existing services through a coordinated MDT approach.

  • Professional qualification such as a degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist

Experience

  • Relevant postgraduate or undergraduate experience in the clinical field
