Job summary

Are you an innovative, enthusiastic, organized, and experienced Occupational Therapist with at least 18 months post registration experience and a strong interest in rehabilitation? Would you like to work in a friendly and supportive team environment in an intermediate care unit?

We are currently looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, to join our inpatient rehabilitation team at Crawley Hospital in West Sussex. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering holistic, client centered and evidence based care.

Main duties of the job

To be successful in the post you must demonstrate a keen interest in care of the older person, and be able to deliver quality patient rehabilitation and discharge planning of complex patients within an intermediate care unit using evidence-based practice.

To develop and maintain a high standard of clinical practice as a member of the multidisciplinary team, in line with the code of professional conduct of the College of Occupational Therapists.

To assist the multi-disciplinary team in preparing intervention plans, implementing rehabilitation and evaluating outcomes

You must be able to prioritise and organise your caseload and be experienced in delegating to OT support staff. You will have access to B4 and B3 OT technical assistants to support you.
