An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Administrator to join our team based in Brighton within the East Area Admin Hub.

Main duties of the job

To provide a professional and comprehensive high-quality range of administrative support to staff and managers within the East Area (Brighton & Hove, High Weald Lewes and Havens) and work as part of the Admin Hub team efficiently maintaining administrative systems.

Processing and recording a variety of data from a wide range of service employees.

To provide administrative support to managers as required.

To be familiar with policies and procedures relating to recruitment, annual leave and other HR processes, and redirecting queries as required.

To prioritise responsibilities and duties ensuring all deadlines are met under the guidance of the team lead.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Applicants with a lower level qualification who have equivalent experience will be considered
  • School leaving qualification (GCSE or equivalent) in maths and English language or able to demonstrate equivalent competence

Skills and knowledge

Essential

  • Well organised and able to produce work to high standards and within a tight timeframe
  • Ability to work unsupervised taking advice from Team Lead
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to continuously changing work, handling multiple tasks at the same time
  • Able to work as part of a team and ensure that senior managers or clinical leaders are well supported

Experience

Essential

  • Working in a team
  • Communicating effectively with a diverse range of people
  • Proficiency with a number of systems, primarily Microsoft 365 and excel and apply a positive attitude to future requirements

Desirable

  • Working in an office environment where a large and diverse range of callers and visitors are received
  • Ability to take minutes during meetings
