Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for experienced Registered Nurses to join our friendly, established nursing and medical team working flexibly via our Bank within the Unit at Crawley Hospital

Our Urgent Treatment Centreprovides urgent and unscheduled care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a fully integrated ambulatory primary care service for the Crawley population and surrounding communities.

Main duties of the job

Working in the Urgent Treatment Centre, you will assess and prioritise patients presenting to the unit whilst ensuring safe, efficient, and effective treatment of all patients within a predefined target time of arrival.

You will demonstrate a calm and confident approach to your work demonstrating excellent nursing and communication skills and the ability to manage and prioritise workloads effectively.

  • Triage/First Contact Module

Experience

  • Post qualifying experience in an acute environment.
  • Experience in critical care/emergency care.
  • Evidence of developing interpersonal skills
  • Experience in supervision of student nurses/allied health professionals.
  • Caring for ill people in a variety of settings.
  • Triage / patient physical assessment skills.

  • Evidence of understanding and insight into current issues in nursing and NHS
  • Evidence of appropriate knowledge base.
  • Aware of responsibilities in relation to NMC Professional Code of Conduct
