Job summary

We are seeking a conscientious, reliable and well organised person to join our friendly team based at Brighton General Hospital. In this role you will provide secretarial and administrative support to the Community Paediatric team. You will be part of a wider administration team who is able to offer great support and supervision.

This is a part time post of 27 hours per week, we are happy to discuss flexible working and days/hours worked. Please do contact us if you would like to discuss this role.

Main duties of the job

You will need to work independently and collaboratively with the Centre Coordinator, clinical staff, and the other administrators within the team. The role includes collection and accurate inputting of patient data into the electronic patient record system (SystmOne), working with and supporting the clinical staff with administrative tasks, booking appointments: handling telephone enquiries; receiving and actioning telephone calls and emails; along with a range of other administrative duties to support the team. You would receive support and supervision and the opportunity to develop skills relevant to job role.

The following skills are essential to the role: experience with databases such as SystmOne and/or be able to learn new IT systems easily, competency with Microsoft Office systems and word processing, excellent telephone manner and communication skills, and maintenance of strict confidentiality.
