A clinical apprenticeship is a patient facing clinical job that offers hands on work experience alongside off the job training for a health related qualification. You will study for your qualification through a mixture of workplace learning, attendance at university, practice placements, and self-directed learning. Clinical apprenticeships take time and are hard work, but they are rewarding, and we will support you on your journey.

We will get back to you about your application by the end of February, and if shortlisted we will support you in your application to university and joint interviews will take place in March.

Main duties of the job

Podiatrists are registered healthcare professionals specializing in the lower limb, providing high quality clinical care to people of all ages. A Podiatrist's role is to work to protect people's feet and mobility, providing advice, care, assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a range of problems affecting the lower limb including those that are caused by underlying conditions such as Diabetes or Arthritis.

  • GCSE Maths and English A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (e.g. Functional Skills Level 2)
  • Three 'A' Levels or equivalent qualifications/ access course relevant to an HCPC qualification or L3/4/5 Apprenticeship/Diploma/NVQ in a health-related qualification

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in a caring environment, either in health, social or voluntary services

Desirable

  • Experience of working within a rehabilitation or therapy setting
