Job summary

We are looking for dynamic and proactive Band 7 Clinical Specialist Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapists, Osteopaths or Nurse, who have a passion to develop their clinical skills in persistent pain. You will play a key role in delivering excellence within the persistent pain service at Crawley and Horsham Hospitals and our mid-Sussex and Brighton sites.

This is a very exciting time for us as we continue to grow and develop our MDT pain management service across Central Sussex. The persistent pain service requires creative and innovative individuals who can help to shape foundations for exceptional care.

Main duties of the job

You must be a UK registered physiotherapist/osteopath/nurse to apply, with an extensive range of musculoskeletal expertise. Recent senior clinical level experience and experience of clinical governance is essential. Working at MSc level or equivalent would be advantageous. Applicants should be committed to delivering high quality care and have excellent communications skills. You will be required to work between the clinical sites of Crawley and Horsham Hospitals and may be asked to travel our MSK sites in Brighton and mid-Sussex.

You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary service which aims to help individuals to understand and manage persistent pain by developing self-management skills. Psychologically informed practice is key to our service, and you will work closely with other team members to empower people with long-term pain and other health conditions to improve their quality of life. The role involves one-to-one work, and facilitation of both online and face-to-face groups. Individuals may experience other health conditions and mental health issues alongside persistent pain.
