Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a band 6 physiotherapist wishing to work in the specialist field of community neurological rehabilitation.

You will be working within an established multidisciplinary team delivering highly skilled, interdisciplinary intervention to clients with neurological conditions including Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, Motor Neurone Disease and other neurological conditions. Our team aims to provide a person centred, holistic service, by supporting and guiding people to successfully manage their neurological conditions and maximise their independence and opportunities within their homes, workplaces, family circles and community networks.

Our service provides input in people's own homes and care homes. We work closely with our key partners within the acute setting and community based groups which enables a seamless pathway for our client's care.

It is an exciting time for CNRT Chichester as we expand and work to implement new models of integrated community care for stroke. There are opportunities to develop leadership skills supporting relevant projects, members of our unregistered workforce and students on placement.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will be a dynamic member of the physiotherapy team and the wider multi-disciplinary team to provide assessment and specialised neurological rehabilitation founded in evidence based reasoning and knowledge.

You will be supported to develop specialised skills in the field of community neurological rehabilitation through regular supervision and annual appraisals.

You will have opportunities to work closely alongside other disciplines within the multi-disciplinary team and work in an inter-disciplinary context to create a holistic and client based focus to your intervention and care.

CNRT is committed to staff training and student provision and you will have opportunities to attend and contribute to these programmes; these are linked closely to competencies and learning needs to ensure that your skills develop through evidenced based practice. There are also opportunities to attend internal and external courses to support your identified learning needs, areas of interest and aspirations.

There will be opportunities to develop non-clinical and leadership skills through supporting the clinical leads and providing supervision to therapy practitioners and students. There are also opportunities to contribute to service development projects within the team covering well-being, job planning, demand and capacity, client feedback and working with key partners.
