We are looking for applicants who are:
- Looking for a career change
- Wanting to take their next steps in their clinical career
- Committed to improving the health and wellbeing of people in Sussex
If that is you, you could become a clinical apprentice with us.
A clinical apprenticeship is a patient facing clinical job that offers hands on work experience alongside off the job training for a health related qualification. You will study for your qualification through a mixture of workplace learning, attendance at university, practice placements, and self-directed learning. Clinical apprenticeships take time and are hard work, but they are rewarding, and we will support you on your journey.
We will get back to you about your application by the end of March, and if shortlisted we will support you in your application to university and joint interviews will take place in April.
Main duties of the job
The apprentice will be based in a home/base service in the area being applied for. During the course, to meet the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) requirements, the apprentice will go on placements, working and gaining experience in a variety of settings across community, primary and secondary care, supporting patients, families and carers, and work with a range of health and care professionals and other agencies. They will then return to their home/base service when not on placement.
This is the pathway for Adult Nursing.
