Job summary
The opportunity has arisen for a band 6 developmental post in Pelvic Health. SCFT have been working alongside 2 other local Trusts as part of a Sussex wide perinatal pelvic health project to improve prevention, identification and treatment of pelvic health problems within the obstetric community. As an early implementer we have been given funding through the Sussex Local Maternity Neonatal Services (LMNS). This is a B6 developer, 1 year fixed term training role and we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic HCPC registered physiotherapist who has relevant clinical experience, and is keen to extend their pelvic health knowledge and skills. Through training, supervision and competencies the opportunity will be available to develop skills in the assessment and treatment of obstetric, gynaecological and colorectal patients.
To start the post will be based at Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital but there may be opportunity to work at other locations if required. The post is a 0.4 (15 hours) band 6.

Development
- Training will be provided to the successful applicant
- Daily opportunities for peer leaning working alongside Band 8a's, 7's and experienced Band 6's in clinic
- Attendance at Pelvic Health MDTs
- Opportunity to collaborate with the Pelvic Health services in neighbouring trusts
- Monthly one-to-one supervision sessions to guide personal and professional development
- Monthly departmental teaching sessions and journal clubs.
- Capacity to participate in service-wide development projects.
- Scope to frequently work alongside Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners from the neighbouring Musculoskeletal Team and First Contact Practitioners
- Collaboration with consultant-led Chronic Pain, Rheumatology and Physiotherapy MSK services.

Experience

- At least 12 months post-qualification as a band 5 physiotherapist working within NHS physiotherapy department/s with experience treating ranges of musculoskeletal conditions

- Experience of working in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy.

- Basic working knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology with particular reference to MSK specialty.

- Able to plan and prioritise own workload efficiently
