Apprentice Nursery Nurse
Full and part time positions available, Monday to Friday
National living wage
From £20,270 per annum, Hourly £10.37

Required qualification level: None needed but desirable level 2 in childcare, but we support training apprentices
Main duties of the job
While working towards a Nursery nurse apprenticeship the following applies.
To be a representative of the nursery, and Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust at all times.
To attend meetings, e.g. team and parent carer meetings when applicable (inside and outside of normal opening hours)
Assist children with personal care, including changing nappies, assisting them with toileting and other associated welfare duties.
To work towards supporting an appropriate settling program with each new child's parents or carers,
To work in partnership with, and maintain, a professional relationship with parent/carers, and other family members at all times respecting them. Always ensuring that Parent/Carers are aware of their child's Learning Journal, and their current development, and next steps. Work in partnership with parent/carers in the nursery, recognising that parents are the child's first educators, and encourage parental involvement in the nursery.
To maintain the overall look of your playroom, ensuring that the room is generally clean and tidy, all art displays are regularly updated, and link to the children's learning. To undertake on-going domestic jobs within the Nursery.
To work according to a flexible shift pattern, suitable for each nursery.

We are looking for a self-motived person to begin or continue their training in children. At Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust we have 3 workplace nurseries that provided full and part time day care for preschool children.
We deliver high quality compassionate care, within the nursery setting for the pre-school children of NHS parents, and some pre-school children from the local community.
We are currently recruiting an Early Years Nursery Nurse to join our team
Applicants must have:
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Experience of working with children 0-5 year olds
- Ability to promote the all-round development of children
- Good communication skills ability to delivery factual information
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- I.T. skills
- Desirable level 2 but not essential

Working with a multi-disciplinary team to support children towards their Early learning goals. Working in Partnership with parents, carers, staff and outside agencies to provide as much flexibility as possible. This includes assisting in the on-going assessment and provision of childcare.
