Are you ready to train as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) with Time to Talk, a leading high performing IAPT service in West Sussex with a track record of innovation, imagination and clinical excellence. We are a flagship service within Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust and recognised as one of the best service providers of brief psychological interventions in the country.

Main duties of the job
You will be part of the very high performing and successful Time to Talk IAPT service comprising of high and low intensity staff. You will receive regular high quality clinical supervision from a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. You will also have the opportunity to work with CBT Therapists, Counsellors and qualified PWPs all of whom have a reputation for being friendly and supportive of our trainee team.
This year we are excited to be able to offer 2 routes into the PWP training, with both course likely to start at the end of September 2022;
University of Surrey - Advanced Practice in Psychological Wellbeing - 12 month course. Mixture of remote and university based teaching
University of Exeter - Level 6 Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Apprenticeship - 15 month course. Likely to be remote learning but possibility of some travel to for F2F learning.The training courses begin with two days teaching each week with one study day working from home. The remaining days are spent in clinical practice. As the training course develops, the ratio changes.

About us
Time to Talk prides itself on the support we offer trainees in the service, from designated trainers and senior staff to the wider team of administrators, managers and clinicians. We know from experience that our trainees are always keen to stay within the service upon completion of their course, and in the first year post qualifying as a PWP, our newly qualified staff are fully supported through all areas of the work to continue building their skills as a PWP. Your wellbeing is of paramount importance to us and we have various initiatives in the service and in the wider trust that can help support you further.
In response to Covid-19, Time To Talk's service has undergone rapid and successful transformation and we are currently providing a hybrid service for our patients using telephone, video, digital platforms and face-to-face sessions, with staff being both home and office based. During the training year you would be based in one of our offices for your clinical days, once qualified you will work with a hybrid model of office and home based. We will continue to offer flexible working in response to this situation and provide an 8am-8pm service and once qualified some evening work would be required.
Please note that you will be expected to pay for any travel you have to make to and from the University, although any travel between your work base and our locations in West Sussex will be covered by Time To Talk expenses.

- Assess and integrate issues surrounding work and employment into the overall therapy process.
