Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the dietetic team at Velindre Cancer Centre for a permanent Band 5 Oncology Dietitian.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a tailored dietetic service to Oncology patients undergoing non-surgical treatment and palliative care alongside nursing and AHP colleagues in well developed multi-disciplinary teams.

Main duties of the job
The job will involve working within inpatient wards, radiotherapy units and chemotherapy clinics to provide dietetic input, optimising nutritional status through oral and enteral nutrition and managing treatment side effects. As a small team, there is ample opportunity for service developments, education and professional development. Supervision and support will be provided.
The post holder will be a HCPC qualified dietitian with an interest in nutrition support and an understanding of the challenges experienced by patients undergoing treatments for cancer. It is desirable to have experience of oncology patients. We are also looking for a team player that can manage a busy caseload, of both clinical and non-clinical duties. A high standard of personal organisation and time management are essential.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
