Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join Velindre UNHS Trust Business Intelligence Team as a Senior BI Developer. The role will be part of the Business Intelligence team, supporting the trust in getting value from wide range of data sources.
The post holder will also work with clinical and non-clinical teams to provide insights and ensure we have the right data, at the right time, delivered in the right manner to enable the right decision.
To develop and trouble shoot ETL processes within SSIS, supporting the principal data engineer in development of new data structures, troubleshooting database issues and query optimisation. The role will also support the existing analysis services cube and assist with future development of it.
Main duties of the job
- Taking data from third party systems; designing and developing ETL processes, along with the corresponding data structures.
- Fault finding technical issues.
- Communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Documenting technical processes/data structures.
- Utilising technologies such as SQL, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
