36 Hours per week - Permanent

Would you like to support patients when they return home from hospital and optimise their independence to live at home? Are you keen to help prevent people being admitted to hospital? Then this could be the role for you.

We have a vacancy for a Band 3 Rehab Support Worker working with the Marlborough community Team, based at Savernake Community Hospital. You will need to be trained to NVQ III standard (or equivalent) in Health and Social care or be willing to train to this level. We want to meet applicants keen to develop into this rehabilitation role and who have existing transferable skills.

You will be supported by our physiotherapists, occupational therapists and nurses and will work alongside our Assistant Practitioners and existing Support Workers. You will play a vital role helping people to rehabilitate and regain their independence and confidence in their own home.

Main duties of the job

If you have experience in front line NHS community patient care, then thats great but its not essential. We want enthusiastic, motivated, and hard-working people who can work flexibly and efficiently. We would like you to have effective communication skills, good IT knowledge, and the enthusiasm to develop.

Wiltshire Health and Care is developing training specific for these roles and will provide you with a supportive, friendly, and happy environment in which to learn new skills.

Rehab Support Workers deliver services from 8am to 9pm, seven days a week. We can talk about your preferred hours of work and working patterns at the interview, or you can call the following manager for a chat or to arrange an informal visit.

For this post you will need to hold a UK Driving Licence and have access to a car.
