An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Full time Paediatric dietitian join our friendly flexible hybrid working team. We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, and dynamic dietitian to help develop the community paediatric service in Wiltshire. We need someone with experience in paediatrics alongside a flair for innovation.

The successful candidate will work independently to provide clinics, group sessions, virtual clinics and home visits to paediatric patients with a wide variety of conditions. You will be expected to manage a caseload of children on home enteral feeding as part of the role.

Main duties of the job

On appointment you will be supported by a team of 6 experienced paediatric dietitians, who work in paediatric inpatients, home enteral feeding, paediatric diabetes, allergies and eating disorders, as well as a variety of other diagnoses.

The paediatric dietetic team is part of the larger Wiltshire Health and Care dietetic team covering the whole county, and in a variety of clinical areas. We have excellent administrative support; regular CPD opportunities and provide student training opportunities. Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010. Additionally occasional evening working hours to support structured education sessions are expected within this role.

  • Professional current UK Health Professional Council Dietetic Registration
  • Degree in Dietetics or Human Nutrition or equivalent
  • Member of British Dietetic Association and Paediatric Group of BDA
  • Specialist knowledge of current nutritional advice/dietetic practice across a range of conditions to ensure safe and effective dietetic input for paediatrics.
  • Evidence of post registration training in communication and behavioural change.
  • Attended training for Safeguarding Children

Desirable

  • BDA Paediatric Dietetic modules (1 and 2)
  • Training in Supervisory Skills
  • Other BDA Paediatric training modules or working towards relevant MSc

Experience
