Lead Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities (CTPLD) - Band 8a
Wiltshire based
37.5 Hours per week - 18 month Fixed Term Contract
We have an exciting 18-month
secondment opportunity for an experienced and suitably qualified Learning
Disability Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, or Allied Health Professional to manage
the Wiltshire Specialist Health Service for people with Learning Disabilities
(CTPLD). The post holder will provide day to day operational management and
leadership to a specialist team of professionals and clinical leadership and
line management to nurses or Allied Health professionals within the team.
The post holder will need to have a
good level of management experience within the NHS, and significant experience
of working with clinicians and multi-disciplinary teams to achieve service
improvement. We would like to see a real passion for community services for
people with learning disabilities and the difference they can make to service
users and carers.
Main duties of the job
There is opportunity to hold a small caseload depending on managerial workload.
The team is works in partnership with Wiltshire Council and integrated with Avon & Wiltshire Partnership so the post holder will work closely with the Councils Service Manager for People with Learning Disabilities and the AWP Community Services Manager for LD Pathways.
Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.
