Wiltshire Health and Care Early Supported Discharge (ESD) Stroke Team is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist for a fixed term contract (of up to a year). Full time hours are available, however we welcome interest/applications from those interested in part time hours.

This is based in the North of Wiltshire, although there will be an expectation to travel as the post requires. Again we can be flexible depending on the home location of the applicant.

You will be working with a supportive multidisciplinary team comprising Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Rehabilitation Assistants, Speech and Language Therapists and Dietitians.

Main duties of the job

Based in the community, the team sees patients for up to six weeks following discharge from hospital. The North team is based in Chippenham and has close links with other acute and community teams.

You role will be to provide neurological assessment and treatment for patients who have suffered an acute stroke and implement treatment plans based around their own goals.

A full valid driving license and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential.
