Warminster Community Hospital Longleat Ward

Are you an innovative, enthusiastic, organised and experienced Occupational Therapist with at least 18 months post registration experience and a strong interest in rehabilitation? Would you like to work in a friendly and supportive inpatient team within a community hospital?
We are currently looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, to join our inpatient therapy team on Longleat ward at Warminster community Hospital in Wiltshire. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering holistic, patient centred and evidence-based care.

The service provides support to three acute trusts and is constantly developing new services to provide the best level of care to the people of Wiltshire.
Main duties of the job
To be successful in the post you must demonstrate a keen interest in care of the older person and be able to deliver high quality patient rehabilitation and discharge planning of complex patients within a community hospital ward environment using evidence-based practice. You must be able to prioritise and organise your caseload, support in the development of B5 OT staff and be experienced in delegating to rehabilitation support workers.
You will be an excellent communicator, enthusiastic, flexible, work autonomously using strong clinical assessment and reasoning skills as well as supporting and leading on complex discharges.
You will demonstrate a desire to work creatively to bring about innovative service development and commit to putting the patient at the centre of your work.
