Job summary
As a result of new funding from Health Education England (HEE), the Bath & North-East Somerset, Swindon & Wiltshire (BSW) Allied Health Professions (AHP) Faculty are looking to recruit into a new AHP Digital Lead post. Candidates could be full or part time, we would consider a job-share, and this could be used as a secondment opportunity with approval from your line manager.
Come and join our dynamic and forward thinking AHP Faculty team. This is an exciting time to join the AHP Faculty as we move into our third phase, and further establish ourselves within the Integrated Care System (ICS). The successful candidate will work with the existing AHP Faculty team members, focus on a workstream aligning with aims and ambitions of the BSW Academy, and will have the opportunity to network across the ICS, regionally and nationally.
The post-holder will have responsibility to lead and achieve the deliverables of the BSW AHP Faculty digital transformation workstream. The main aim of the project is to gain an understanding of current and future support needs for our AHP workforce relating to digital literacy and readiness to deliver technological solutions. Ultimately, this project will work towards ambitions to ensure that our AHP workforce are skilled and ready to deliver the best possible care to our people and populations in BSW.
Main duties of the job

This 6-month position(s) is a great opportunity to grow your project management, leadership and quality improvement skills. You will work with a broad range of AHPs and have the opportunity to build your network in BSW, the South-West and nationally.

The Allied Health Professions (AHPs) are the third largest workforce in the NHS. They include art therapists, drama therapists, music therapists, chiropodists and podiatrists, dietitians, occupational therapists, operating department practitioners, orthoptists, osteopaths, paramedics, physiotherapists, prosthetists and orthotists, diagnostic and therapeutic radiographers, and speech and language therapists. In the main they are degree level professions and are professionally autonomous practitioners. 13 of the 14 AHPs are regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) with Osteopaths regulated by the General Osteopathic Council (GOC)
