MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy - North Wiltshire Borders PCN
Full and Part Time Opportunities Available - Permanent
We are looking for a competent, driven professional to join
our first contact physiotherapy team in the North Wiltshire
Borders PCN, which includes 6 GP practices located in Malmesbury, Wootton
Bassett and Cricklade. The PCN are flexible regarding the base
location and you would not be expected to
travel to all GP practices in the PCN.

FCPs
are qualified clinical practitioners who can assess, diagnose, and
manage MSK problems and undifferentiated conditions, and where appropriate,
discharge a person without a medical referral.
Main duties of the job
You must be able to demonstrate excellent assessment and
clinical reasoning skills that this post will require, within a variety of
musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and general health conditions. Good communication
skills with a variety of people, conditions and within demanding situations
will be an asset. Experience of electronic patient records and telephone triage
will be an advantage.
You will join a friendly and supportive team of other
physiotherapy and primary care staff and will have close links with the MSK
service in Wiltshire. We have a well-structured supervision plan and competency
framework in place. You will be supported to work towards the new HEE Roadmap
to Practice through supervision from the FCP Implementation Leads, GP mentor
and regular peer support. This role is developmental post and once you have
worked through the competencies there will be the opportunity for advanced
Practice competency development to a Band 8a.
The
MSK service for Wiltshire is based in 9 community hospitals and additional GP
clinics with excellent links to our acute hospitals in Bath, Salisbury, and
Swindon. We receive MSK referrals from GPs, Orthopaedics, A&E,
Rheumatology, Midwives and other Health Care Professionals. Alongside MSK Physiotherapy
we deliver services in Hand Therapy, Rheumatology, Women’s and Men’s Health and
Amputees.

- Registered Allied Health Professional (Active HCPC registration).
- BSc or equivalent in Physiotherapy.
- Educated to post graduate level or to have equivalent knowledge and experience.
- MSc or equivalent evidence of advanced knowledge in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
- Leadership training.
Desirable
- MCSP.
- MSc in related field.
- Non-medical prescribing.
- IRMER safety trained.
- Radiological interpretation course( or working towards).
- MSc module in injection therapy or diploma in injection therapy.
Experience
Essential
- Experience of PDR/ mentoring/ supervision/ teaching/ training.
- Experience of pathway development in the scope of MSK Physiotherapy.
