Clinical Informatics & Engagement Lead

The closing date is 09 September 2025

Job summary

Data and information underpins all of our programmes throughout the lifecycle of learning, testing and scale and spread; from understanding the current situation, to using evidence to identify specific areas for improvement, to modelling services and alternate processes, to monitoring progress through tests of change and helping scale and spread the change intervention.

To do this successfully, we need to be rigorous and employ effective analytical techniques to deliver unambiguous and robust clinical information of a complex health and social care system.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will lead the strategic development, implementation and operational management of the clinical informatics and engagement function, transitioning from a measurement unit to a team that is capable of:

Proactively identifying areas of concern and appropriately shaping the virtual care strategy informed by clinical information;

Compiling business plans and strategies for the continued development of the Analytics function to inform the delivery of national improvement programmes;

Modelling systems and services - both existing or prospective, using a range of disciplines such as simulation or systems dynamics to inform decision making or development of business case for change;

Using statistical methodologies, innovative analytical and visualisation techniques to support change programmes across the phases of delivery plans;

Providing applied skills development to support the data analysis and measurement of transformation projects in practice; and

Effective evaluation of transformation projects.
