Job summary

Are you technically IT experienced, highly organised, and passionate about a healthier Wales for everyone?We deliver and improve IT services for Public Health Wales - the national public health organisation for the whole of Wales. In this exciting new role as a Technical IT Project Manager, you'll support our experienced Digital Technical Services Team and the wider operational IT Teams by project managing physical infrastructure hardware and software replacement projects, liaising with business users, technical leads and engineers to deliver on time improvements to IT services and security.Our IT teams support firewalls, wireless and wired networks, clinical and admin server applications and host services for third party providers as well as supporting end user devices, analysers and medical IoT devices around Wales. We are part of major national and local replacement projects and are utilising and expanding cloud and AI services.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job

Be responsible for the overall progress of sometimes competing, complex IT projects and use of resources, initiating corrective action where appropriate.

Ensure the scope and objectives of the programmes are clear and interdependencies are managed.

Attend meetings with stakeholders to feedback upcoming service changes that may require IT resource and project management, working with senior managers and teams to identify opportunities for continual service improvement by utilising programme and project management methodologies.
