Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional candidate to join Public Health Wales as a Senior Workplace Health Adviser for the Healthy Working Wales team as part of the Health Improvement Division within Public Health Wales. This role will hold specific responsibility for development, implementation and quality assurance in relation to capacity building, including learning and development, to enable employers and their staff to gain knowledge and skills to deliver effective action to support employee health and wellbeing.
Main duties of the job
Healthy Working Wales is a Welsh Government funded programme working across Wales to support and encourage employers to create healthier workplaces through developing and sustaining environments, policies and activities that protect health and promote good health. The programme helps employers to achieve a range of positive business and organisational outcomes while also contributing to the health and wellbeing of the working age population in Wales.
The individual will lead the development and delivery of our training and capacity building activities, including a suite of new employer engagement opportunities such as webinars, a peer mentoring programme and accredited training programmes. They will provide specialist input into maximising the opportunities of digital delivery based on robust assessment of training needs and taking a quality improvement approach that prioritises and acts on feedback.
The ability and willingness to travel across Wales, including some overnight stays to support delivery, is essential to the role.
