We are the Strategy, Planning and Corporate Affairs Division, of the Operations and Finance Directorate. If you are enthusiastic about building a career in project and programme management, then this role could be for you. We are looking for someone to lead delivery of projects, working with a range of internal and external stakeholders to coordinate key areas of work for the Division.

Secondment or fixed term appointment to 31st March 2026. Our team is committed to flexible and part time working, with the office base being Capital Quarter 2 in Cardiff. There may also be a need to travel to other Public Health Wales sites on occasions. We would welcome a call to discuss any queries you may have before applying.
Main duties of the job
If successful, you'll be involved in managing projects, key to supporting the delivery of Public Health Wales' Long Term Strategy. Ranging from developing the project and programme management profession, supporting programmes driving system change such as Tackling Diabetes Together Programme, or developing new services such as the National Targeted Lung Cancer Screening.
You'll play an important role in the team, providing assurance that projects are well managed and strengthening the profession within Public Health Wales.
We're looking for someone who has been working as a project support manager or project manager position who is enthusiastic to develop their skill set and apply their professional knowledge and experience to deliver organisational wide change.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to expand their skills and knowledge to further develop a career within the Project and Programme Management Profession. We actively support personal and professional development and will work the successful candidate to produce a personal development plan.
