Job summary
Strategic Clinical Networks are an essential national vehicle for joint working between key stakeholders including NHS Wales, Welsh Government and the third sector to improve the outcomes and experience for the population of Wales. Integral to this is the need for continuous improvement and transformational change across a range of our services and approaches and the role of the Strategic Clinical Network is to support this at national, regional and local levels.
The post holder will work as part of a national team and will work with an exciting strategic clinical network to improve critical care, trauma and emergency medicine services across Wales. The role provides an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual to help deliver exciting projects of work to support health boards and trust to improve the delivery of key health services across Wales.
Working closely with the team, the Network Support Officer will be responsible for a wide range of duties aimed at ensuring the success and effectiveness of the clinical network. Main duties include:
- Providing general administrative support including minute taking
- Diary coordination and management
- Supporting the maintenance, management and oversight of programme plans
- Supporting the development and management of required documentation
- Taking responsibility for the management of defined areas of work within specific work streams
- Supporting stakeholder communications and engagement
Main duties of the job
The main duties and responsibilities of the Network Support Officer are to:
- Provide general administrative support including minute taking
- Support the maintenance, management and oversight of programme plans
- Support the development and management of required documentation
- Take responsibility for the management of defined areas of work within specific work streams
- Support the management of budgets
- Support stakeholder communications and engagement
- Produce reports on progress for internal and external use
Secondment opportunity/ fixed term for 6 months to cover other absence.
