Job summary

Public Health Wales coordinates the delivery of eight national screening programmes in Wales that offer screening tests throughout the life course from pregnancy to older adults with the aim to detect early stages of disease or prevent disease occurring.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a confident and passionate Health and Safety, Quality Risk, and Governance professional to join our team. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of compliance, quality, risk, and health and safety services across the national screening programs, offering support and expert advice to senior managers and clinicians throughout the division.

Main duties of the job

This role is responsible for the development of specialist Health & Safety and clinical governance related policies for Screening Services ensuring that all policies take due regard of mandatory and statutory legal requirements. To communicate and work with senior managers and staff teams to identify training and learning objectives, coordinate compliance and be a positive role model within screening and across the wider organisation.
